Bicycle Shop & Bike Repair in Maryland

Germantown Cycles is the best bike shop I have ever dealt with.  They are worth the drive if you are not in Germantown.  They are privately owned, are biking enthusiasts themselves and can help youngsters with their first bike as well as more seasoned bikers….. whether it be road biking or mountain biking.  I needed an older bike tuned up and afterwards, that bike rode like it was brand new!  This is after dealing with many, many other shops over the years.  Their mechanics really know what they are doing.  They have given me countless pieces of great advice, don’t fuss when I bring my bike in with some dirt on it and turn around repairs really fast…..no two week wait to get the bike back and ride!  I also bought a new bike from them recently and wow!

The team at Germantown Cycles has been nothing but helpful, even when some of my question have been elementary (at least to them). The warranty, lifetime tune-ups, and willingness to go the extra mile (pardon the pun) to get you up and operational, are what make this shop the best.

These guys are seriously awesome. I have plans on purchasing my parent’s bikes here in the near future. I will never goto any other bike shop.

The kind of place that you want to be your Local Bike Shop. The shop is located in a little strip mall about a 1/2 mile off of I270 which makes it pretty convenient to get to even if you don’t live in Germantown (which I do not). Clean, organized and filled with a good selection of bikes from high end disciplines to budget friendly work horses, the shop has a nice layout. Good mechanics, dedicated builders of high end bikes, and an honest and insightful approach to sales, I really like this shop.

This local bike show is great if you are just starting your search for finding a bike that best suits you.  I went there originally with my boyfriend to find a bike for him and a week later I was placing an order for a bike for myself!  I ordered the Vita Specialized, black and hot pink, beautiful bike!  The friendly and super knowledgeable staff actually recommended it to me, and I had noticed what a sharp looking bike it was the minute I walked in.  They helped find the right size for me, and when it came in they assembled it correctly with no errors the first time!  I can’t say the same for my boyfriend’s bike that he ordered from REI…

I had some problems with my daughters bike, and I took it there.  They were great.  Everyone was helpful and explained what needed to be done, the cost and how long.  Everything was right on.  Would go there again.  It is nice to support a local business.
